About Inconel 725
Inconel 725 alloy is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum-niobium alloy. It has excellent corrosion resistance. After aging heat treatment, it can greatly increase the strength of the alloy and greatly improve the ductility and tensile properties of the alloy. The alloy also has strong resistance to stress corrosion.
Used for pipe fittings, joints and bearings in acid-resistant equipment. It is also widely used in marine marine equipment
Inconel725 corrosion resistance: basically the same as 625, such as: a little bit corroded in water and sea, good in H2SO4, not as good as nickel-molybdenum alloy in HCl, but it decreases above room temperature, and it decreases with increasing temperature in HF. Phosphoric acid is good, especially wet-process phosphoric acid. In HNO3, we recommend stainless steel due to price issues. The performance of chromic acid and organic acid is also good. There are some media in HF gas that will cause intergranular corrosion, but Inconel725 alloy is a kind of alloy that is very resistant to pitting corrosion.
